Each bespoke garment, bridal veil and handcrafted accessory is individually designed and carefully made to reflect your vision. These Commission Terms are intended to provide clarity and ensure that your experience, from our first conversation to the completion of your commission, is enjoyable, transparent and well supported.

By placing an order with Laura Fray Bespoke, you agree to the following terms.

Consultations

Consultations are by appointment and provide an opportunity to discuss your ideas, style, fabrics, timescales and budget.

Measurements may be taken where appropriate, and together we will develop a design that reflects your individual requirements.

Quotations

Following your consultation, a written quotation will be provided.

Quotations remain valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated.

Deposits

A non-refundable deposit is required before any design work, pattern drafting, fabric ordering or production begins.

Your deposit secures your commission within my schedule and reflects the time and preparation invested before construction commences.

Payments

Payments are accepted by bank transfer unless otherwise agreed.

The remaining balance is payable before your finished commission is collected or dispatched.

Ownership of any commissioned piece remains with Laura Fray Bespoke until full payment has been received.

The Bespoke Process

Every garment, bridal veil and accessory is individually designed and handcrafted.

As each commission is unique, slight variations in fabrics, embellishments or handcrafted finishes form part of the character and individuality of bespoke work.

Measurements & Fittings

Accurate measurements and attendance at scheduled fittings are essential to achieving the best possible result.

Laura Fray Bespoke cannot accept responsibility for changes in fit where measurements supplied by the client are inaccurate or where significant body changes occur after measurements have been taken.

Wedding & Event Dates

Clients are responsible for informing Laura Fray Bespoke of their wedding or event date when placing their order.

Every effort will be made to complete your commission comfortably in advance of the required date. However, Laura Fray Bespoke cannot accept responsibility for delays resulting from late bookings, missed appointments, postponed fittings, delayed responses or significant design changes requested during production.

Design Changes

Small refinements can often be accommodated during the design process.

More substantial alterations requested after work has commenced may incur additional charges and may affect agreed completion dates.

Completion Times

Estimated completion dates are provided in good faith.

Whilst every effort is made to meet agreed timescales, unforeseen circumstances beyond reasonable control may occasionally result in slight delays. Should this occur, you will be kept informed throughout.

Collection & Delivery

Completed commissions may be collected from the Manchester Craft & Design Centre studio or delivered by prior arrangement.

Responsibility for the commission passes to the client once it has been collected or successfully delivered.

Cancellations

Due to the personalised nature of bespoke work, deposits are non-refundable.

Should a commission be cancelled after work has commenced, payment will remain due for work completed and any materials purchased specifically for that commission.

Returns & Refunds

As each piece is individually made to your specification, bespoke commissions are generally exempt from cancellation rights under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

Returns or refunds are therefore not normally available unless an item is faulty or does not meet your statutory rights.

Nothing within these Terms affects your legal rights as a consumer.

Photography

With your permission, I may occasionally photograph completed commissions for my portfolio, website or social media.

Your privacy will always be respected, and no identifying photographs will be used without your consent.

Intellectual Property

All original sketches, patterns, design concepts and creative work produced by Laura Fray Bespoke remain my intellectual property unless otherwise agreed in writing.

They may not be copied, reproduced or used commercially without prior written permission.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
